Joan,

Johnny is right up your alley.  I adore that you take care of the old red dogs.

To all,, Ruby (7) and Bailey (10) just had their vet visit.  Perfect in every way according to Dr. Pinnaeu.

I'm still the happy forever home for "Bailey Handsome" as I call him and "Rubby Batutty".

We are doing well.  Hugs and Happy Red thoughts to all.

Good Morning to everyone from Joan and My 4 Red Heads in Western Pa. I am sitting here drinking my coffee looking out on a Sunny morning. The dogs are fed and given treats. Now the boys are playing on and off the sofa. The older dogs just lay and growl when the boys get to close. What is really funny is when the boys get too close to my one bird Cracker who thinks she is a Pit Bull and rules the sofa. When they get too close she bites at them and the way they fly! Funny how these bird dogs are so afraid of this little green bird. I have 4 rescue parrots, two are allowed out of the cage. The other two sadly can't be trusted and I enjoy having my skin and blood stay just where it is without it being displayed on the floor. I learned my lesson, If they don't want to be handled let them be. The birds, like the dogs, are so cuddly but sometimes I just want these rescues to know I love them and want to hold them but it pays to leave them alone. They will outlive me I'm sure, and I can only show them they are loved and I will not hurt them anymore. Our dog shows for the club will be next week and we are working together getting everything into place. It's a lot of work but I so enjoy seeing the dogs show and people showing them. It's a well worth job and we can pat one another on our backs for a job well done. I hope to see a lot of friends and meet new ones. Take care and enjoy the day Give all a HUG. Hello Everyone. Well I'm so Happy to report that it's been sunny and spring-like here in Western Pa. Have had nice clean floors and nice clean dogs!! The down side is rain is on it's way. The robins are in the yard. My trees are not very into buds yet but others say they have leaves. The reason for the note is... I wonder why I spend good money on good food and even been buying some extra supplements for on their food. Not that they like it, funny how they can not eat it and work around the powder that's all added into the food. Today while sitting at my table and drinking coffee I look out on the deck and I can say I have the biggest 2 red birds in Pa....... 75 to 80 pounds I'm sure! There they were standing on the deck eating the parrot food I emptied out there for the other birds! Yes, it is nice to know that the protein pellets are be eaten by two red birds.....The hairy kind! Everyone have a wonderful St. Paddy's Day Give all a HUG.  Joan and My 4 Red Heads

Hi Everyone; Joan Fiser here from Western PA. It's been awhile since I posted but now I'm really wondering when, and if, winter will ever come. I'm wishing all a dry Spring! I want to say CONGRATULATIONS to Team Claire. You had a great 4 days at the New York shows. Lots of people do not know that there are shows before the "BIGGY" on Monday and Tuesday. I wish I could have been there but my body wouldn't have lasted. So I watched the Irish show on the computer. Claire's performance was fabulous! While we have club members showing their Champions in the ring, I wanted to say a Thank You to Deb Calmbacher for doing rescue. We have a wonderful club with great people doing a great job for our breed. Showing Champions and helping the rescues who have hearts of Champions. We have a wonderful net work here and with doing this for years I say Bless all who read this, and that they all do their part. Well I got to go and and mop these muddy floors. Raining again ~~who would have guess? Take care all...

Hello Everyone; Joan Fiser Here from Muddy,Rainy, Cold Western Pa. It was over a week ago that I wished everyone a Merry Christmas. Now Here I am wishing all a Happy New Year and a Healthy one, not only for you, but your four footers. Here's hoping that we all can achieve what we set our minds to, that all those blue and purple ribbons come your way. I have to end this note now because my Muddy Irish are wanting in. I have company coming today and I need to clean this floor and the door window. At least company can come into a clean floor and windows that you can look out of. All be safe out there tonight for those driving.  Joan and My 4 Red Heads

Good Morning to all. I wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas!! It's still raining here. We did have a few cold days last week with snow but that all left, and mud and rain took it's place. We have friends that have adopted dogs from GTISC, they have kept in contact and they are members also. I wanted to let all know that Setters L  emails have brought up to everyone that 8pm Christmas Eve we here on the east coast will be lighting Candles for all our past Friends and past animals friends. For $1.30 at Wal- Mart you can buy those church candles or just light up what candles you have. We here in the club have lost animals this year and it always makes me feel better knowing I'm remembering them. So to each and everyone of my friends, Have a Very Blessed Christmas and very Joyous New Year! Marley, Dewey, Drummer, Diddle and Joan

Well, this is my first time writing in the Guestbook.  I felt the need to follow up to what Joan said about our Santa Photo event.  This is our 6th year doing this event.  It started out with one little pocket digital camera and a personal photo printer.  Each year we have grown, to where we did 117 photos this year. Our next event will have a full sized photo printer that can spit out the pictures in just seconds and handle the volume. We are already using two laptops. Each year, we improve on the area needed for the next year. We now have our Photographer Bob, with his SLR camera, who has taken the photos for the past 4 years.  We have our own Santa George, who does well holding up for 5 or 6 hours.  We not only photographed dogs, we had a rabbit, cats, children and a new baby. We had great teamwork from Club Members and others who volunteered their time. Our members live all over Western PA and WV. We thank those who could make the drive and help. It is not easy for members to always get to our events. Thank you to Agway for having us.  Thank you to Dee for the Santa Suit. Thank you to Tammy and Brianne for their help with the computers, printing and any glitches from "overwork" we came across. Thank you to Joan and Lisa for helping me to set up the night before.... And to Joan for organizing everything with Agway and the newspaper. Also for our additional members (& guests) who came and were able to be there Lorrie, Ruth, Laureen, Jessica, Coleen, & Justin.  And mostly THANK YOU to everyone who came for a picture, and were patient as we worked as fast as the computer and printer allowed.  Our proceeds have gone to Rescue, shelters, the K9 officer, fire companies for Pet Rescue masks, and Irish Setter Rescue, to name a few organizations. May everyone have a very Merry Christmas and blessed Holiday season.

Hello Everyone, Joan Fiser here.Well, once again I survived a Santa Photo Shoot. I'm told that we had over 110 photos and will get the final total later. I just wanted to tell everyone Thank you to all that came and spent money for their photos. To all of the club members who without their help this could never be so successful. We did more sales this year than last year. Agway Store is so willing and worked with us and they helped promote this also. I have always bought from Agway feed store. They where once a co-op and all the farmers had a share in them. I was a Dairy farmer, was that for 12 years. Hard work and good family values were learned from that time down on the farm. I have a lot of respect for the farmers. It is so nice to see other pet owners thinking and loving their pets and they let them be part of the family to bring them for Photos. I always thought us Irish people were extreme. Thank You to all who helped and Have a Very Blessed Holiday ...... Joan and MY 4 Irish.
